4O90 Gallery

Fastline Freight's 4O90 Doncaster/Birch Coppice - Grain intermodal seen at a variety* of different locations - 56301/302/303 doing the honours loudly each night.

Despite some rocky timekeeping, after the first month or so loadings are good and the traincrew seem to enjoy the 'grid' thrash as much as me!

*Well, ish, most will be Leighton station cos I like the phot there and don't have to hang around long but the on odd occasion i might get out elsewhere!

All good things come to an end, and March 2009 saw Fastline ceasing the intermodal services supposedly due to poor loadings in the recession, and 56301/302 drained and stored whilst 303 was returned to RVEL and stored at Derby. After a few weeks of irregular running, 56303 worked what turned out to be the final 4O90 on March 27th.
